Writing a letter is more than just putting ink on a piece of paper, writing a letter to your sponsored child expresses your joy, love, and support. Letters bring people together. You can learn a lot about their culture, faith, and dreams.

As exciting as writing a letter is, it can be tricky trying to figure out what to say. How much do you share? What do you ask your sponsored child? Here are some helpful tips to make the letter writing process so much easier for you.

What you can achieve with your letters:

Build the self-esteem of your sponsored child

Encouragement to do well in school

and

Encouragement of their dreams

So, whether or not you are a “letter writer” or not, grab some stationary or notebook paper and a pen. Speak hope into your sponsored child’s life…TODAY.

Tips

Don’t worry about length. Long or short, your sponsored child will love it.

Write often. The more encouragement your sponsored child receives the better.

Share about yourself: family, hobbies, work, pets, childhood, and your love for God.

Ask questions about their: culture, friends, dreams and ambitions, church, school, sports, and hobbies.
